Privacy policy

At MaxyTools, privacy is not an option: the tools are designed so that your files never leave your device. This page explains, simply and precisely, which data still exists, why, and what your rights are.

Last updated: October 5, 2026

1. Who is responsible?

The website maxytools.com is published by MaxyTools, an independent project. For any question about your personal data: contact@maxytools.com.

2. Your files

MaxyTools tools process your files (PDFs, images, text, spreadsheets…) directly in your browser, using technologies that run on your device. Your files are not uploaded, not stored and not accessible to MaxyTools or to any third party through us.

In practice: we cannot retrieve, view or delete your files, because we never have them.

3. The data we process

  • Preferences stored on your device (language, theme, cookie choices, optional tool history and favorites): they stay in your browser's local storage and are not sent to a server.
  • Infrastructure technical logs: the site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data (IP address, browser type, requested pages) to ensure security and availability.
  • Audience measurement (only if you accept it): anonymous traffic statistics, without advertising tracking cookies.
  • Advertising (only if you accept it): advertising networks, notably Google AdSense, may set cookies and process advertising identifiers to display ads, including personalized ones.
  • Messages you voluntarily send us by e-mail: used only to reply to you.

4. Why (legal bases)

  • Operating the service and security: legitimate interest.
  • Audience measurement and advertising: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from “Manage cookies” at the bottom of the page.
  • Replying to your messages: performing your request.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. Only technical providers are involved: Cloudflare (hosting and security) and, if you accept advertising, advertising networks (notably Google). These providers may process data outside your country, under the safeguards provided by their own policies.

6. Retention

Preferences stay on your device until you clear them. Technical logs are kept by Cloudflare according to its own policy. E-mails you send us are kept for as long as needed to reply.

7. Your rights

Depending on your country (GDPR in the European Union, CCPA in California, LGPD in Brazil, or other), you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and withdrawal of consent. Write to us at contact@maxytools.com: we reply within a reasonable time. You may also contact the data protection authority of your country.

8. Children

MaxyTools is not specifically aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. The “local processing” architecture minimizes exposed data: what is not collected cannot leak.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect the evolution of the service (for example the addition of user accounts in a later phase). The last-update date is shown at the top of the page.

11. Advertising, advertising cookies and your choices

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (and advertising identifiers) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and to other websites.

None of this happens before you agree: until you accept advertising in the cookie banner, no advertising script is loaded and no advertising cookie is set. You can withdraw your consent at any time with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of the page.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. More information about Google's advertising technologies is available below.

12. Importing from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Box

Some tools let you import a file from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Box, in addition to your device. Nothing is loaded until you click that service's button: only then is the service's official script downloaded and its sign-in and file-picker window opened. That service may then process data (your account identifier, your IP address, the list of your files) under its own privacy policy; MaxyTools has no access to it.

The file you choose is downloaded directly into your browser and then processed locally like any other file: it does not pass through our servers, and we keep neither your sign-in identifier nor your access token. If you prefer not to use these services, simply import the file from your device.
