- 4

Help
- Works with JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP and GIF (HEIC if your browser can read it). You can tick several languages at once, for example French and English.
- Every word gets a confidence score: doubtful words are highlighted on the image and listed so you can check them. The text stays editable before you copy it or save it as .txt.
- OCR is never perfect: sharp printed text gives excellent results, but blurry photos, handwriting and busy backgrounds give poor ones. Arabic is harder than Latin scripts.
- Optional settings: straightening, ×2 enlargement for small characters, greyscale, contrast, adaptive black and white. You can also export a searchable PDF (Latin text) or a ZIP for a batch.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The recognition engine (Tesseract in WebAssembly) and the language files are served by MaxyTools and run in your browser: neither your images nor the recognised text leave your device.
Why does the result contain mistakes?
Recognition depends on sharpness, contrast and character size. Try the ×2 enlargement, adaptive black and white, or a photo taken flat and well lit. Handwriting is not supported.
Does the searchable PDF include Arabic?
No: standard PDF fonts have no Arabic glyphs, so the PDF text layer only carries Latin text and digits. The .txt file has all the recognised text.
