Help
- This is a visual signature: an image of your signature placed on the page. It carries no certificate, does not prove the signer's identity and does not stop the PDF being edited afterwards. For a qualified electronic signature, use a trusted provider.
- Three ways to create your signature: draw it (mouse, finger or stylus, the stroke is smoothed), type your name in a handwriting font (Arabic included), or import a photo of your signature on white paper whose background becomes transparent.
- Place it on any page, drag it, resize it with the handle or the buttons; add your initials, the date and free text as well. Several signatures are possible, and “Copy to all pages” is handy for initials.
- Tick “Remember my signatures on this device” only if you want to: they are then saved in this browser (local storage), never sent anywhere, and erased as soon as you untick.
Frequently asked questions
Does this signature have legal value?
It suits everyday documents, forms and agreements between people who rely on it, but it is not a certified electronic signature: no certificate, no timestamp, no identity check. For acts that require one, use a qualified signing service.
Are my PDF or my signature sent anywhere?
No. The PDF is read and modified in your browser and your signature never leaves it. It is kept on the device only if you tick the remember option.
My PDF is password-protected. What now?
First remove the password with the “Unlock PDF” tool (you need to know it), then sign the copy.
