Printable Amortization Schedule

Help: Printable Amortization Schedule

  • Enter the principal, the annual rate, the term, the payment frequency (monthly, quarterly, weekly…) and the date of the first payment.
  • Each row shows the date, the payment, the interest share, the principal share and the remaining balance; the totals row checks that the principal is paid down to zero.
  • Switch between the yearly view (a many-page schedule at a glance) and the per-payment view (full detail); an extra payment shortens the schedule.
  • The print button keeps only the summary and the table: choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog to get a PDF. The CSV export opens in Excel or LibreOffice.

Frequently asked questions

What is an amortization schedule for?

It shows, payment by payment, what pays the interest and what repays the principal. It lets you check a lender's offer, find the balance at a given date and price an early repayment.

Why does the interest fall over time?

Each month interest is computed on the remaining balance, which drops with every payment. As the payment is constant, the principal share grows steadily.

How do I get a PDF?

Click "Print / save as PDF", then choose "Save as PDF" as the printer. Nothing is sent to a server: your browser creates the PDF.
