Hourly to Annual Salary Calculator

Help: Hourly to Annual Salary Calculator

  • Pick what you know (hourly rate, day, week, month or year), enter the amount, then your hours per week, days per week and paid weeks per year.
  • The result gives the hourly rate and the amount per working day, per week, every two weeks, per month (year ÷ 12) and per year, plus the paid hours in the year.
  • To account for unpaid leave, lower the paid weeks (50 instead of 52, for example): the yearly figure drops while the starting hourly rate stays the same.
  • Amounts are gross, before tax and contributions, with no bonus or overtime. Nothing is sent anywhere: the calculation runs in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert an hourly wage to an annual salary?

Multiply the hourly rate by the hours worked in a week, then by the paid weeks in the year: 25 × 40 × 52 = 52,000. A month is the yearly figure divided by 12.

Why is a month not simply four weeks of pay?

A year has 52 weeks, about 4.33 per month. The monthly figure is therefore the year ÷ 12; four times the weekly pay would understate it by roughly 8%.

Is the result gross or net?

Gross: the tool removes no tax or contribution, which depend on your country and situation. It replaces neither your contract nor your payslip.
