QR Code Generator

Help: QR Code Generator

  • The QR code updates as you type. If you type a bare domain name (example.com), “https://” is added so phones open the site — you can decline it.
  • A QR code holds about 2,900 bytes at most (2,953 at error correction level L). Beyond that the tool tells you; Arabic or accented text takes more bytes than characters.
  • Error correction (L, M, Q, H) sets how much of the code can be damaged while still scanning: the higher the level, the denser the code.
  • The “scannable” banner comes from a real read-back of the code. It also warns about inverted or low-contrast colors, which many scanners cannot read.
  • Your text stays in your browser: nothing is sent to a server, and the code never expires (no tracking link).

Frequently asked questions

Does my QR code expire or go through your servers?

No. It is a static QR code: the address or text is written straight into the image. It works forever, with no subscription, and nothing goes through MaxyTools — in return, you get no scan statistics.

What size should I print it at?

Aim for at least 2 cm (0.8 in) per side for a short link and keep the white border around the code (4-module margin). Download the PNG at 1,024 px or more, or the SVG if your printer accepts vector files.

Why is my QR code so dense?

The longer the content, the more modules the code has. Shorten the address, lower error correction to L or M, or use a short link: a less dense code scans more easily.
