QR codes
QR Code Scanner
Scan a QR code with your device's camera or from an image, and see what it contains (link, Wi-Fi, contact, SMS, email…) before opening anything.
How to use this tool
- 1
Choose “Camera” and allow access, or switch to “Image”.
- 2
Frame the QR code in the square, or drop / paste the image.
- 3
Read the interpreted content and the domain, if any.
- 4
Copy, download the contact card, or confirm opening the link.
Help
- Two modes: “Camera” (the rear camera is used by default on phones) or “Image” (drop, choose or paste a screenshot or photo).
- No link is ever opened automatically: the tool shows the domain, flags suspicious links (http, shorteners, disguised domain names) and asks for confirmation.
- The content is interpreted: web link, Wi-Fi network (password hidden by default), contact card to download as .vcf, SMS, email, phone, GPS position, or plain text.
- The camera is released as soon as a code is read, when you switch tab or page. If it is denied or missing, image import is still available.
- Everything is analysed in your browser: neither the image nor the code's content is sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the tool just open the link?
A QR code can hide a fraudulent link. By showing the domain first and asking for confirmation, you avoid QR-code phishing (“quishing”).
The camera won't start, what should I do?
Allow the camera in the address bar, close other apps using it, and check the page is served over HTTPS. Otherwise use the “Image” tab with a screenshot of the code.
Can I read a QR code from a screenshot or a PDF?
Yes for a screenshot or an image (PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP): drop it or paste it with Ctrl+V. For a PDF, take a screenshot of the page first.
