- By default the calculation uses today's date (your device's); change “Calculate age on” to find an age on a past or future date.
- The tool gives the weekday of your birth, your next birthday (date, weekday, days remaining, age reached) and the ones after.
- The calculation uses calendar dates with no time of day or time zone: daylight saving never shifts a day. Leap years and month ends are handled, and dates before 1970 or after 2038 work.
- Born on 29 February: in non-leap years the birthday is counted on 28 February; the tool says so.
Frequently asked questions
How are months and days of age calculated?
We count the largest number of whole months elapsed since birth, then the days left over. When the day does not exist in a month (for example 31 January + 1 month), we fall back to that month's last day, as software calendars do.
What if I was born on 29 February?
In leap years you celebrate on 29 February. In other years the tool places it on 28 February (some countries use 1 March). Your age in years only changes on that date.
Is my date of birth stored or sent?
No. The calculation runs in your browser; no date is transmitted or kept.
