Help
- Pick two dates: the difference shows in years, months and days, then as total days, weeks, whole months and hours. Tick “Include the end day” to count both ends.
- Business days exclude the weekend days you tick (Saturday-Sunday by default; Friday-Saturday, Sunday only or none in one click). Public holidays are not removed.
- The second mode adds or subtracts years, months, weeks, days and business days to a date and gives the resulting date with its weekday.
- Calculations use calendar dates (whole days): time zones and the daylight-saving change never skew a day. Dates from year 1 to 9999 are accepted, before 1970 and after 2038.
- If the end date is before the start date, the difference is calculated in reverse and the tool says so.
Frequently asked questions
How do I count the days between two dates?
Subtract the day numbers: from 1 January to 1 March 2024 there are 60 days (leap year). By default the start day is counted but not the end day; tick “Include the end day” to add one.
Why does 31 January + 1 month give 29 February?
The target month has no 31st: the tool falls back to its last day (28 or 29 February). That is the rule of software calendars and keeps month addition predictable.
Can daylight saving skew the result?
No. The tool handles neither hours nor time zones: it counts whole calendar days. The clock-change day (23 or 25 real hours) counts as 1 day.
