Change Text Case

Help: Change Text Case

  • Ten modes: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title, Sentence, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case and inverted case. The result updates as soon as you pick a mode.
  • The “code” modes handle each line separately and also split existing identifiers: myHTTPServer becomes my_http_server.
  • Tick “Turkish rules” so that i becomes İ and I becomes ı. Without it, the German “ß” becomes “SS” in uppercase, as JavaScript does.
  • Arabic, Hebrew and Chinese have no letter case: those letters stay unchanged and a notice reminds you.

Frequently asked questions

What does Title Case do with “l'été” or “don't”?

The capital is applied at the start of each word (after a space, hyphen or quote), not after an apostrophe: “don't stop” gives “Don't Stop”. Small words (of, the, de) are not treated separately.

Why doesn't Arabic change?

The Arabic script has no upper or lower case. Only the Latin, Greek and Cyrillic letters in your text are modified, the rest is kept as is.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No, the conversion runs in your browser, even for very long texts.
