Rotate Image

Help: Rotate Image

  • Buttons to rotate left or right by 90°, 180°, and to flip horizontally or vertically; they stack.
  • The free-angle slider (−180° to 180°) enlarges the frame so nothing is cut; empty corners get the background you choose (transparent, white, black or a color).
  • The preview shows the first image with exactly the processing that will be applied; the same transformation applies to every image in the batch.
  • The EXIF orientation of phone photos is respected. A JPG is re-encoded: the quality is adjustable (92% by default).

Frequently asked questions

My image is sideways: how do I straighten it?

Use “Rotate right” or “Rotate left” (90°) until the preview is upright, then save.

Does rotating degrade the image?

A 90° or 180° rotation or a mirror moves pixels without altering them; only saving as JPG adds the usual slight compression. A free angle interpolates the pixels.

What happens to the empty corners of a free rotation?

They are transparent in PNG and WebP, or filled with the chosen color (white by default) in JPG.
