Add Text to Image

Help: Add Text to Image

  • Drag a text to place it; the round handle at the corner of the frame sets size and rotation, and the arrow keys fine-tune the position.
  • Each text has its own font, color, outline and shadow. Add up to 20 on the same image.
  • The finished image keeps the resolution of the original (up to about 48 megapixels): only the on-screen preview is scaled down.
  • Arabic and Hebrew are written right to left, line by line, with properly joined letters; the Cairo font is offered for a clean result.
  • An animated GIF is read from its first frame only. In JPEG, a transparent background turns white: pick PNG to keep it.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The text is drawn in your browser: your photo is never uploaded, stored or analyzed.

Does the photo lose quality?

The finished image keeps the dimensions of the original. After that it depends on the format: PNG is lossless, JPEG and WebP apply the quality you set (92% by default).

Can I write in Arabic or mix several languages?

Yes. Each line takes the reading direction of its first letter, and Arabic letters are joined as on screen. For a polished look, choose the Cairo font.
