Help
- Pick a shape (rectangle, ellipse or freehand brush), then drag over the part to hide. You can add as many areas as you like and undo the last one.
- Blur softens detail; pixelate replaces each block by its average colour. For text, numbers or faces, use a high strength or pixelate: a light blur can stay legible.
- There is no face detection and no AI: you choose every area yourself, so nothing is hidden by mistake and nothing is guessed.
- The image never leaves your device. Saving re-encodes it as JPG, PNG or WebP, which also drops metadata such as GPS position.
Frequently asked questions
How do I blur a face in a photo?
Choose the ellipse, drag it over the face, and raise the strength to at least 60. There is no automatic detection, so you decide exactly what is covered. Do the same for every face, then save.
Is a blurred area really unreadable?
At a high strength, yes: the detail is averaged away and cannot be restored by filters. At a low strength, text can stay legible, so for passwords, plates or ID numbers use maximum strength or pixelate.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The effect is computed by your browser on your device. Nothing is sent, stored or logged, and the page works offline once loaded.
Does the saved image lose quality?
Only the areas you cover change. The rest is re-encoded: PNG is lossless, while JPG and WebP let you set the quality. Metadata like GPS location is removed on export.
